Epidemiological Work Group

The PEACE Epidemiological Workgroup collects, analyzes, and applies implications from data about alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drug-related problems to improve prevention practice. The workgroup will bring systematic, analytical thinking to understanding the causes and consequences of the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Some of the actions of the workgroup include identifying problems and setting priorities; mobilizing capacity for change; linking assessment findings to planning priorities/targets and resource allocations; guiding the selection of effective strategies for implementation that address target problems; monitoring key milestones and feeding data into a continuous quality improvement process.
