Get Involved
PEACE staff participated in the National Association of Social Workers Conference that was held at the Guam Hilton Resort and Spa on March 29-30, 2006.
Palau and Guam Prevention staff attended 16 hours of "Science to Service Learning Communities" Training on March 27-28, 2006. The training was held at the Guam Marriott Resort & Spa and facilitated by CSAP's Western CAPT instructors, Eric Albers, Julie Hogan, and Joshua Phillip.
Middle school students from Bishop Baumgartner Catholic Memorial School participated in Ina Fa' Maolek's  3-day Peer Mediation Program from January 9- 13, 2006.  Each student received a total of 10 hours training in becoming peer mediators.  The inauguration cermony was held at the school on January 13, 2006.
Group Session
The PEACE staff spend several weeks writing the SPF-SIG Strategic Plan at the PEACE office in Hagatna.
Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training
Prevention/PEACE staff attend a 3-day Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) at the Guam Marriot Resort on August 29, 30, and September 1, 2005.
First Aid & Safety Training
PEACE staff attends First Aid & Safety Training classes that were held at the Department of Administration on August 17-18, 2005.
Proclamation for Mental Health Awareness Month
Governor Felix P. Camacho signed the proclamation for Mental Health Awareness Month at the Guam Premier Outlets in May. Also pictured J. Peter Roberto, Director of the Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse, prevention staff and the youth for youth kids.
